Sites

Sites are the top-level organizational units for your farm operations. Each site represents a facility or location that contains multiple rooms where harvesting occurs.

Purpose: Organize your farm locations by creating sites that group related rooms together.

A Site record contains:

  • Customer - The farm or customer who owns this site
  • Name - Site name or identifier
  • Description - Optional description of the site
  • Address - Physical address of the site
  • Status - Whether the site is active (on) or inactive (off)
  • Start Date - When the site became active
  • End Date - When the site was deactivated (if applicable)

After creating a site, you can:

  1. Create Rooms - add harvesting locations to this site
  2. View all rooms belonging to this site
  1. Click Sites in the sidebar menu (under Data Management)
  2. You’ll see a table with all sites, sorted by creation date

  3. Fill in the form:
    • Customer (required): Select the customer/farm from the dropdown

    • Related rooms panel showing all rooms in this site

On the view page, you’ll see a panel listing all rooms that belong to this site, including:

  • Room name
  • Room size
  • Target weight
  • Status information

Who can do this: Super Admin, Data Manager

  1. From the Sites list, click the pencil icon (Edit) on any row
  2. Modify the fields as needed
  3. Click Save

If you change the customer for a site, all rooms in that site will now be associated with the new customer. Be careful when making this change if rooms already have plantings or transactions.

Who can do this: Super Admin, Data Manager

  1. From the Sites list, click the Edit button
  2. Click the Delete button
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Deleting a site will also affect:

  • The site will be hidden from normal views (archived)
  • Rooms belonging to this site will still exist but the site relationship will be preserved
  • You can restore deleted sites using the “Deleted records” filter

When a site is active (status toggle is on):

  • The site appears in normal listings
  • New rooms can be assigned to this site
  • The site is available for use in plantings

When a site is inactive (status toggle is off):

  • The site still exists in the system
  • It may be filtered out of some views
  • Use this when a site is temporarily not in use
  1. Create a new Site record
  2. Set the customer, name, and address
  3. Set status to active
  4. Create rooms for this site
  1. Open the site record
  2. Click Edit
  3. Toggle Status to inactive
  4. Optionally set an End Date
  5. Click Save

The site will remain in the system but won’t appear in active listings.
