Glossary
This glossary defines key terms used throughout the FarmScaleIQ Harvest Management System.
Appuser
Section titled “Appuser”A picker account in the system. Appusers are workers who perform harvesting and have their transactions recorded. Different from system Users who log into the admin panel.
Assigned (Status)
Section titled “Assigned (Status)”The initial status for a room picker, indicating they have been assigned to a room but haven’t started working yet.
Active (Status)
Section titled “Active (Status)”A room picker status indicating the picker is currently working in their assigned room.
Bulk Action
Section titled “Bulk Action”An operation performed on multiple selected records at once. Examples include bulk delete, bulk assign pickers, and bulk edit discrepancies.
Completed (Status)
Section titled “Completed (Status)”A room picker status indicating the picker has finished their work for the day.
Correction Notes
Section titled “Correction Notes”Optional text entered when correcting discrepant transactions, used for audit trail documentation.
Dashboard
Section titled “Dashboard”The main home screen showing customizable widgets with key metrics and information. Users can arrange, show/hide, and resize widgets to create their own personalized view. Common widgets include discrepancy overview, room activity, weight charts, and picker performance.
Date Picker
Section titled “Date Picker”A form control for selecting dates, used when creating harvest days, filtering data, etc.
Discrepancy
Section titled “Discrepancy”A transaction that doesn’t match the expected harvest day configuration. Types include: Room Not Assigned, Picker Not Assigned, and Wrong Supervisor.
Dropdown
Section titled “Dropdown”A form control that lets you select from a list of options. Many dropdowns in the system are searchable.
Filter
Section titled “Filter”A control for narrowing down displayed records based on criteria like date, room, picker, etc.
A growth cycle for plantings. Multiple flushes can occur for a single planting, representing different harvest periods.
Force Delete
Section titled “Force Delete”Permanently removing a record from the system. Unlike regular delete, force deleted records cannot be recovered.
Harvest Day
Section titled “Harvest Day”A single day of harvest operations. The fundamental unit for organizing room assignments, pickers, and transactions.
Harvest Date
Section titled “Harvest Date”The date when harvesting occurred. Used to match transactions to harvest days.
Operator
Section titled “Operator”See Runner. Operator and Terminal Operator are alternative terms for Runner.
Override
Section titled “Override”A flag on transactions indicating manual entry or correction (Y = Yes, N = No).
Picked Weight
Section titled “Picked Weight”The weight of harvested product recorded on a transaction, measured in kilograms (kg).
Picker
Section titled “Picker”A worker who performs harvesting. In the system, this refers to an Appuser record.
Planting
Section titled “Planting”A cultivation record tracking what was planted, when, and in which room.
Your level of access in the system, which determines what features you can use. Examples: Super Admin, Supervisor, Operations Manager, Data Manager.
A physical location where harvesting occurs. Rooms belong to Sites.
Room Assignment
Section titled “Room Assignment”A record linking a harvest day to a specific room, with an assigned supervisor and optional pickers.
Room Picker
Section titled “Room Picker”A record tracking an individual picker’s assignment to a specific room assignment, including their status and performance.
Room Trans. (Room Transactions)
Section titled “Room Trans. (Room Transactions)”The count of transactions for a specific picker in a specific room on a specific day.
Room Weight
Section titled “Room Weight”The total picked weight for a specific picker in a specific room on a specific day.
Runner
Section titled “Runner”The person operating a terminal device during harvest operations. The runner scans picker barcodes, selects rooms, and records transactions. May be different from the picker. Also referred to as Operator or Terminal Operator.
Sidebar
Section titled “Sidebar”The navigation menu on the left side of the screen containing links to all system sections.
A location or facility containing multiple rooms. The top-level organizational unit for rooms.
Delete/Archive
Section titled “Delete/Archive”Hiding a record without permanently removing it. Deleted records can be viewed using “Deleted records” filters and can be restored.
The mushroom spawn/seed material used in plantings.
Status
Section titled “Status”The current state of a room picker: Assigned, Active, or Completed.
Supervisor
Section titled “Supervisor”A user role responsible for overseeing room operations. Supervisors are assigned to room assignments and can only see their own assigned rooms.
Terminal
Section titled “Terminal”A weighing device or station where transactions are recorded. Terminals send transaction data to the system.
Total Transactions
Section titled “Total Transactions”The count of all transactions for a picker across all rooms on a given day.
Total Weight
Section titled “Total Weight”The sum of picked weights across all transactions for a given scope (picker, room, day, etc.).
Transaction
Section titled “Transaction”A single harvest weight record, typically created when a picker submits their harvest at a terminal.
Transaction Date
Section titled “Transaction Date”The timestamp when a transaction was recorded. Used to match transactions to harvest days.
Trashed
Section titled “Trashed”See Deleted records. Records that have been deleted/archived. Can be viewed using Deleted records filters and restored.
Widget
Section titled “Widget”A customizable component on the Dashboard displaying specific information. Users can show/hide, rearrange, and resize widgets. Examples include Harvest Discrepancy Overview, Rooms with Active Transactions, Weight by Room, Weight by Terminal, and Top/Bottom Pickers charts.
Wrong Supervisor
Section titled “Wrong Supervisor”A discrepancy type where the supervisor recorded on a transaction doesn’t match the supervisor assigned to that room.
